Story chat only works when the other side remembers the scene. Companions in Dialogue app are written to hold a setting, keep a character consistent, and pick a detail back up three messages later.

Set the scene in one line

“A night train, two strangers, one open window” is enough. From there the companion builds, and you steer with short corrections whenever the direction drifts.

Formats that work well

• Slow-burn scenes across several evenings.
• Alternating narration, one paragraph each.
• Interview-style storytelling where you ask and she answers in character.
• Everyday realism with no fantasy at all.

Keeping control

Every story stays adjustable. Ask for slower pacing, less description, or a different setting and the companion adapts in the next message.
